50 year a Mark Man |
| When Jim Withnell's 50th Anniversary of his being Advanced into Aeon Mark Lodge No 1312 was coming up, the Lodge had no hesitation in planning a celebration to mark the aniversary in the usual 'Aeon Style'. |
| For those who are not familiar with 'Aeon's' traditions this involves an excess of food, and of course it wouldn't be right if you didn't have something to wash it down with! |

| Sadly, as the date grew closer, Jim's health deteriorated, and everything went on hold. |
Jim, who was advanced on the 20th October 1966, the year that the Lodge was consecrated, was the first candidate to be Advanced into the Lodge. |
| Whilst Jim's health is improving and he is somewhat better, his medical treatment continues and he is not yet able to attend meetings. |
| In view of the passing time the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro. Keith Alan Beardmore, along with his Deputy, VW Bro. Geoff Lee PGJO, W. Bro. David Winder, Master of the Lodge, and the Lodge Almoner, Mike Beesley PGJD, went along to Jim's home on Thursday 24th August 2017. |
| Over a cup of tea, they relaxed with Jim, whilst he regaled them with many a tale of the goings on in Aeon and the Mark Province. |
| The PGM presented Jim with the certificate, issued by the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons and another from the Province marking the magnificent milestone. |
| Jim, the Lodge look forward to seeing you back amongst them, hopefully very soon. |
